1. What we collect

To run Cosmic Cub, we collect:

• Account info — your name, email, and login credentials.
• Birth data — for each profile, including children: name, birth date, birth time, and birth place. You provide this; we do not pull it from external sources.
• Payment info — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit-card number.
• Usage data — basic, anonymous analytics about how the Service is used (pages visited, broad geography). No identifying data is sent to analytics.

2. Why we collect it

Strictly to run the Service: generate readings, send them to you, identify your account when you log back in, process your payment, and improve the experience. We don't use your data for advertising. We don't profile you for marketing.

3. How we store it

Your data is stored securely in our database and back end with encryption at rest. All connections use HTTPS.

4. Who can see it

Only viewed if needed internally for support purposes. We never share, sell, or send your data elsewhere.

5. AI usage

Chart data is sent to a third-party server to carry out the proprietary interpretation system built by Cosmic Cub at scale. Data is never retained externally or used for LLM training.

6. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies, all functional:

• Authentication — keeps you logged in across visits.
• Anonymous analytics — tells us broad traffic patterns; no identifying data.

We don't use advertising cookies, third-party trackers, or fingerprinting.

7. Email

If you opt in to our email list, we'll send you occasional notes from the founder. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We won't email you marketing content without your consent. Transactional emails (your reading is ready, your receipt) will be sent regardless because they're how the Service works.

8. Children's privacy

Cosmic Cub is for parents and guardians providing data about their children. We do not allow accounts for users under 13. We treat children's birth data with extra care: it is never shared with third parties for marketing, never sold, and is deletable on request.

9. Your rights

You can request a copy of all data we hold about you, or request complete deletion of your account and data, by emailing hello@cosmiccub.com. We respond within 30 days.

Note: we may retain limited records related to purchases for tax and accounting purposes (typically 7 years), as required by law. These records do not include birth data.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Service changes meaningfully. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
