Privacy Policy.

1. What we collect

To run Cosmic Cub, we collect:

• Account info — your name, email, and login credentials.
• Birth data — for each profile, including children: name, birth date, birth time, and birth place. You provide this; we do not pull it from external sources.
• Payment info — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit-card number.
• Usage data — basic analytics about how the Service is used (pages visited, broad geography). On our marketing pages only, we also measure which ads bring people here (see section 6). No birth data is ever part of this.

2. Why we collect it

To run the Service: generate readings, send them to you, identify your account when you log back in, process your payment, and improve the experience. We also measure our advertising — which ad brought someone to the site, and whether a visit became a purchase — using the marketing pages only. A child's name and birth details are never part of that, and we never sell your data. You can turn the advertising measurement off (section 6).

3. How we store it

Your data is stored securely in our database and back end with encryption at rest. All connections use HTTPS.

4. Who can see it

We never sell your data, and we never hand it to anyone to use for their own purposes. Inside Cosmic Cub, it's viewed only when support needs it.

Running the app does mean a short list of service providers touch some of it — hosting, payment processing, email delivery, the interpretation system described below, and, if you order a print, the studio that makes and ships it. Each one receives only the piece it needs to do its job, under contract, and none of them may use it for anything else.

5. AI usage

Chart data is sent to a third-party server to carry out the proprietary interpretation system built by Cosmic Cub at scale. Data is never retained externally or used for LLM training.

6. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies, all functional:

• Authentication — keeps you logged in across visits.
• Your own charts — remembers which charts this browser made, so you can get back to them without an account.
• Anonymous analytics — tells us broad traffic patterns; no identifying data.
• Advertising measurement — while we're running ads, a measurement tag tells us which ad brought someone here, and whether a visit became a purchase.

We don't use fingerprinting, we don't sell your data, and nothing about your child — name, birth date, birth time, or birth place — is ever sent to an advertising platform.

You decide about the advertising one. Turn it off any time under your privacy choices below, and if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat that as off without you having to ask. In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland nothing non-essential runs at all until you say yes.

7. Your privacy choices

We take privacy seriously.

Cosmic Cub's measurement tag only runs on our marketing pages. It never runs on a chart or a reading — this means no birth information or information about a child ever reaches an advertising platform: no name, no birth date, no birth time, no birth place.

The choice is stored in a cookie on this browser, so it won't follow you to another device.

8. Email

If you opt in to our email list, we'll send you occasional notes from the founder. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We won't email you marketing content without your consent. Transactional emails (your reading is ready, your receipt) will be sent regardless because they're how the Service works.

9. Children's privacy

Cosmic Cub is for parents and guardians providing data about their children. We do not allow accounts for users under 13. We treat children's birth data with extra care: it is never shared with third parties for marketing, never sold, and is deletable on request.

10. Your rights

You can request a copy of all data we hold about you, or request complete deletion of your account and data, by emailing hello@cosmiccub.com. We respond within 30 days.

Note: we may retain limited records related to purchases for tax and accounting purposes (typically 7 years), as required by law. These records do not include birth data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Service changes meaningfully. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
